LED Lighting Upgrade for Golf Resort
The Sands Torquay golf offers a premium golf resort accommodation experience located just over one hour from Melbourne. The 76-hectare resort includes an 18-hole championship golf course designed by PGA Tour winner Stuart Appleby plus 112 guest rooms.
Project Goals
For a premium resort like The Sands Torquay, any upgrade must seamlessly integrate with its luxurious ambiance while delivering tangible operational benefits. The challenges included replacing existing lighting systems across guest rooms, reception areas, and communal spaces with energy-efficient alternatives. The solution needed to reduce high energy consumption and maintenance costs, improve the overall light quality and appearance, and, crucially, ensure minimal disruption to guest comfort and resort operations during the installation process.
Our Solution
Next Green Group LED lighting solution involved meticulously converting 1,288 existing lights to advanced, energy-efficient LED technology across the entire resort. This included replacing fixtures in all 112 guest rooms, enhancing the warmth and modernity of the accommodations, as well as illuminating common areas, dining spaces, and back-of-house facilities. The new LED lighting was carefully selected not only for its superior energy efficiency but also for its ability to significantly improve light levels and enhance the overall interior aesthetics, providing a brighter, more contemporary, and inviting atmosphere for guests and staff.
A critical aspect of the project’s success was Next Green Group’s commitment to seamless delivery. Our experienced project team collaborated closely with the resort’s management to ensure all installation work was completed efficiently and discreetly within specified timeframes, often outside of peak operational hours. This meticulous planning minimised any potential disruption to the resort’s guests and daily activities, allowing The Sands Torquay to continue providing its exceptional service without interruption throughout the upgrade.
